The PayPal Goods and Services fee depends on the market. This page shows the tracked rate used by this calculator and the amount left after fees.
Enter $100 into the calculator to see the tracked PayPal Goods and Services fee and the estimated net amount received for the selected market.
PayPal deducts the processing fee from the seller's receipt. A price agreed between buyer and seller does not change who PayPal charges. The gross-up result is a pricing estimate, not permission to add a payment surcharge.
No. The US fee schedule lists Send/Receive Money for Goods and Services separately from PayPal Checkout. This calculator uses the Goods and Services row; use the payment-method comparison for Checkout and other PayPal paths. Rates also depend on the account market.
No. PayPal Goods and Services and PayPal invoice payments can use different fee structures, so it is worth checking both before you send a request or invoice.

The standard rate shown on this page is mapped from the tracked PayPal business fee source for the selected market rather than from a generic seller assumption.

The US APM row covers only the all-other-APMs tier, not named payment methods or payment links and buttons. Check the official schedule for those products.
If you switch to the custom rate editor, the result becomes your own scenario model rather than the tracked default rate.
Use the methodology page if you want to inspect the source policy before relying on a result for a quote, invoice, or contract.
They are different payment products, not conflicting quotes for the same transaction. Selling a service does not automatically put a Checkout payment in the Send/Receive Money for Goods and Services row. Match the payment product shown in your transaction details, not just what you sold.
| Payment product | Rate | Fee | Net receipt |
|---|---|---|---|
| Send/Receive Money for Goods and Services | 2.99% | $2.99 | $97.01 |
| PayPal Checkout | 3.49% + $0.49 | $3.98 | $96.02 |
| Standard credit and debit card payments | 2.99% + $0.49 | $3.48 | $96.52 |
The G&S row has no fixed USD charge; Checkout includes $0.49. Standard cards also use 2.99%, but add $0.49. A paid invoice follows its own payment-method table. Personal transfers are a separate category, not a substitute for paying for a sale.

The PayPal Goods and Services fee is the processing deduction taken from a commercial payment for goods or services. This calculator shows the tracked market rate, the net amount after fees, and the total you need to charge if you want to cover the fee.
The US schedule has a separate Send/Receive Money for Goods and Services row. PayPal Checkout, direct card payments and paid invoices use their own rows. The selected market determines which Goods and Services rule applies here.
Most sellers care about how much they actually keep. The useful output is not just the percentage fee, but the net amount after the full PayPal deduction.
The gross-up result estimates the total needed for a target net receipt. PayPal still charges the seller; a private pricing agreement does not change that. Check applicable terms before adding any separate payment surcharge.
